Federal regulations require that an employee who has violated U.S. Department of Transportation DOT drug and alcohol regulations must complete the SAP evaluation, referral, and education/treatment process before the employee can return to safety sensitive duties.
Dr. Nettles is a certified DOT/Substance Abuse Professional. He provides evaluations, assessments, referral services, and the return to duty process. The process must be conducted by a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) DOT Rule 49 CFR Part 40 Section 40.285.
As a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), we evaluate and assesses employees who have violated Department of Transportation drug and alcohol program regulations. Recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare are made in compliance with federal regulations. Each assessment includes a full spectrum interview, bio-psycho-social, comprehensive written report with treatment recommendations.
